A flavour brief is not a claims brief
Sour fruit, cooling mint, cocoa and botanical-balancing directions are product-development choices. They can be explored in samples without deciding what the product will say on pack or in advertising.
Keep an evidence gate for outward-facing language
Any health, performance or functional statement should be reviewed before it moves from a draft into packaging, a sales presentation or a social post. The standard of review depends on the statement and the market, so it should never be inferred from a flavour name.
Use an approval trail
Maintain the approved wording, supporting review and version date alongside artwork files. That helps distributors, brand teams and production teams work from the same current language.
