Document the intended use
A packaging file should identify what is in contact with the product, how the pack is used and the relevant storage or processing conditions. Those details are more actionable than a generic claim that a material is “food grade.”
Match the record to the actual component
Retain material references and supplier documents for the specific pouch film, can, lid, liner, label or other relevant item. If a component changes, the file should make the change visible to the people who approve it.
Do not assume one market decision transfers everywhere
Food-contact rules are tied to intended use and jurisdiction. The destination-market reviewer should confirm the approach for the finished system rather than relying on a document from a different product or country.
